Nurturing and Healing the Next Generation
Child Health Nursing, or Pediatric Nursing, is dedicated to the medical care of neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. This specialty requires a deep understanding of human growth and development, as well as the unique physiological and psychological needs of children facing acute or chronic illnesses.
Our department focuses on family-centered care. Students are trained to work closely with families to minimize the trauma of hospitalization for children. The curriculum covers a wide spectrum from basic immunization schedules to complex pediatric intensive care.
Train students to assess normal growth and development, administer immunizations, and manage common childhood illnesses.
Develop specialized skills for caring for premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU using advanced technology.
Our Pediatric Lab provides a child-friendly environment equipped with infant and child mannequins. It features simulated setups for radiant warmers, phototherapy units, and pediatric drug calculation stations to build student confidence before hospital postings.
